Braised Chicken Wings in Red Sauce

Ingredients (serves 3-4 persons)

Lobo Red Chicken Sauce Mix 1 packet
Chicken wings or chicken ½ kg.
Vegetable oil 3 tablespoons


Preparation

Visit Chinatown in Bangkok and you will discover this gourmet dish on the menus of many excellent restaurants. Lobo makes it easy for you, and if you wish, Lobo recommends a dash of liquor or red wine for extra sensational taste.

• Clean the chicken wings or the chicken and leave to dry.

• Heat oil in skillet. Fry chicken until cooked and brown on both sides. Remove and leave to rest.

• Dissolve contents of Red Chicken Sauce Mix packet in ½ cup (120 ml) of water. Set on the stove. When it is beginning to boil, put fried chicken in.

• Stir to dredge chicken in the sauce. Lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until chicken is tender and the sauce dries a bit.
• You can add a small amount of liquor or red wine to enrich the aroma. Remove and serve

Tips

• The chicken wings may still have some hair on. Clean and remove the hair and do not forget to cut away the pointy end of the wings, too.

• Vegetable lovers may choose to add sliced tomato, bell pepper and chopped onion into the skillet when stirring.
