Vietnamese Grilled Pork Balls with Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

Lobo Nam Nuong Seasoning Mix 1 packet
Ground pork with fat 250 g (8.8 oz)
Water 2 tablespoons

Dipping Sauce
(serves 3-4 persons)
LOBO Nam Nuoung Dipping Sauce Powder 1 packet
Water 1/3 cup
Ground roasted peanut

Preparation

Originating in Vietnam, Nam Nuong or Vietnamese Grilled Pork Balls was a delicate way of preparing pork balls for well-to-do families. Lobo introduces a simple but genuine method to create this special dish.

• Dissolve Nam Nuong Seasoning Mix in water.

• Dredge ground pork in mixture and knead. Add extra pork fat for extra tenderness. Knead until pork becomes more glutinous.

• Shape pork into meatballs measuring 1” in diameter.

• Grill or bake at 340°F (170°C) for 10 minutes or until cooked.

• Serve with assortment of fresh vegetables and dipping sauce.

Dipping Sauce

• Dissolve Nam Nuoung Dipping Sauce Powder in water. Heat at medium until boiled.
• Or you can microwave, set at highest temperature for 3 minutes.

• Leave dipping sauce to cool and sprinkle with ground roasted peanuts.

Tips

• To create the genuine dish, you need all necessary side items: flour wrapping sheets, unripe banana, fresh garlic, chilli, cucumber, star fruit and unripe mango.
• Also, an assortment of fresh vegetables including lettuce, basil, mint and stink weed.

• To enjoy this Vietnamese delicacy, place a meatball with finely chopped side items on a flour wrapping sheet, dress it with an amount of the dipping sauce and wrap it into a bite-sized bundle. Follow that with vegetables as desired.
