Seasoning sauce 50 g (1.8 oz)
Soy sauce 50 g (1.8 oz)
Palm sugar 50 g (1.8 oz)
Matured galangal, thickly sliced and lightly crushed 30 g (1 oz)
Matured ginger, thickly sliced and lightly crushed 20 g (0.7 oz)
Chinese celery stem 50 g (1.8 oz)
Sesame oil 2 tablespoons
Beef (short plate or loin) 1 kg (35 oz)
Long chopped asparagus 300 g (10.5 oz)
Vegetable oil 2 tablespoons
Thinly sliced garlic 30 g (1 oz)
Chinese Five-Spice beef chunks 200 g (7 oz)
Chinese Five-Spice soup 3 tablespoons
Oyster sauce 1 tablespoon
Sugar ½ teaspoon
Sesame oil 1 teaspoon
Ground pepper ½ teaspoon
Red hot chili, chopped into long strips, for garnish
